Scientific attitude is the desire to acquire knowledge, the interest in solving problems and the way of thinking. Morning session began with Joju sir class which dealt with teaching aids. Sir taught us the characteristics and classification of teaching aids. And made us familiar to various teaching aids.  Ancy ma'am taught us about the emotional, intellectual and language development of early childhood. Also gave a brief idea regarding later childhood and the related factors.  In the last session, our Neena ma'am taught us about teaching-learning process, it's principles,nature and characteristics. And we went through the maxims of teaching. Ma'am also discussed about the four pillars of learning based on UNESCO and they are:

First of all thanks to our respected principal Dr. K Y Benedict sir for making the classes back to online in this tough time.  As usual the day started with Neena ma'am class and she well explained the content analysis. The terminologies and the various categories in content analysis were discussed. The session was made interesting using jam board. The next session was taken by Gibi ma'am. She gave a revision on measurement of intelligence- verbal , non verbal performance tests . And had a discussion on various schools of psychology which are thoughts based on education and they are: * Structuralism *Functionalism *Psychoanalytic school Maya ma'am took idealism and role of a teacher. Also taught us about discipline in idealism i.e, inner discipline and impressionist. The session ended with limitations of idealism.

HEALTH CHART Dr. George Thomas sir gave us an idea regarding how to prepare a health chart.  The health chart should contain the following things as shown below. BEHAVOURISM  Dona ma'am taught us about the behaviourist approach put forward by father of behaviourism John. B Watson.  It's a theory of learning which says that the behaviours are learned through interaction with environment based on a process called classical conditioning . Conditioning means modification of the relation between a natural stimulus and it's natural response . Learning is conditioned by stimulus and response. And discussed about the educational implications of conditioning like it can help teachers to develop desirable habits, interests and attitudes in children.   Then ma'am taught us about Thorndike's laws of learning which tells us that learning is an association between stimulus and response. Anyone who stared at the night sky and thought what's upon there can read this book and explore the magical power of universe. Wisdom Begins in Wonder🔥

In the first hour Maya ma'am taught us about the schools of philosophy which is related to different thoughts. It's characteristics , aims and applications in educational aspects were discussed. And then taught us about idealism, it's characteristics and aims in education. It is based on truth, beauty and goodness. Idealism mainly focus on the welfare of the individual and for the good of the society.   The next hour was taken by Gibi ma'am. She taught us about the various scope of educational psychology. In that we had come across two variables of educational psychology and they are learning process and learning method. Also ma'am slightly discussed about the cognitive learning and the related theories formulated by Piaget, Bruner and Gagne. The day was vibrant and our dear Revathy ma'am took the topic regarding educational podcasts and m- learning. She explained it beautifully and created a space for open discussion based on the subject. Educational podcasts is a series of audio or video files on the web. Podcasts involve audio, video, PDF and ePub files which can be subscribed to and downloaded through web. While mobile learning ( m-learning ) is defined as learning across multiple contexts, through social and content interactions using personal electronic devices. M- learners use mobile technology for learning purposes. Also she mentioned the merits and de- merits of m-learning. The session was windup by Dr.Joju John sir. He appreciated Revathy ma'am for her teaching style and the way she conveys everything in a great understanding. He sent the valuable feedback to the exceptional teacher Revathy ma'am. Teacher and Philosophy

Today the morning session was took by our dear Maya ma'am. She taught us about the application of philosophical aspects in education. The term 'phileo' means love and 'sophia' means wisdom.  According to Francis Bacon philosophy is the " Great mother of all sciences". Different areas of philosophy was discussed such as metaphysics, epistemology and axiology. Education and philosophy are two sides of the same coin.    The next session was taken by Revathy ma'am which dealt with computer simulation.  A mathematical model is created using computer and then computer simulation is generated which has wide applications in educational field.
