Blissful

It was a blissful day. I got substitution at 8E and I took health education class based on the topic Safety in sports. In that I took fracture, dislocation and heat stroke. Also provided them with videos and activity cards.  Then again I got substitution in the same class and I took craft class to engage them. And taught them origami of butterfly. They were so interested and curious to do it. They also pasted it on the walls. Afternoon there was a program organised by RK wedding mall for their shop inauguration promotion. As part of it , a music reality show was conducted and many students took participated.

Stress relief ✨

The first period went to 8 C and the students were a little uncontrollable. And I had trouble with my voice due to cold and cough, so I shouted and asked the leader to write the names of the talkative ones. And the students were called upon to do an activity. They were given a word on the blackboard "Xenotransplantation"  which means the process of transplanting an organ from one species to a different species. The students who make noise are called upon and asked to frame 50 words based on the word. So the activity turned the entire class to think and frame words.  During the second period I went to 10 D and the students were in tension as their IT practicals are going by side. The roll numbers were called and batch by batch exams were held. I too had a healthy interaction with them.   Then I went to 10 A , the class where I took the physics class. As I went there, they came with so many doubts and I clarified it. Their doubts were related to the previous year questions. Aft

frogs on the way

The morning session started with an assembly conducted by 9F. The head master addressed the assembly by reporting about the burglary in the school premises.   During the second period conducted a MCQ test on chapter static electricity in class 8E. The third period was a craft oriented class at 8 J. I taught them the origami of frogs and butterflies.  Again in the next substitution period at 8G , I taught the same origami of frogs, but it was difficult for them to do so.  During my physics period at 8F , I found a treasure of art in a small book done by my dear student Afsana. It was so beautiful to see each page of the book and each pages had a vintage look.  Then in the 6th period at 10C , taught the origami of butterfly and had a good interaction with them.

Freeze Dance

Conducted Freeze-dance in class 8D where the students move all tables and chairs to one side of the room while I set up a speaker to play fun music. And direct the students to stop moving their bodies when I pause the music at random moments. If a student continues to move, they step out of the game for the current round. It was a fun session. During the second hour I got substitution in my class 8E and gave them the gifts for writing notes neatly.  In the sixth period at 6C played the game "Simon Says". And during the last hour at 8J , they were taken out of the classroom for physical education.

Snake 🐍 day

The first itself I got free hour at grade 10A. The students enquired doubts regarding the mirror formula and I clarified it. During the third period , taught 🐍 origami at 8G. I provided them with colour papers, fevicol and scissors ✂️. They were so interested in doing the craft.  In the next period I taught finger puppet at 8H which was also an origami.

Taare Zameen par

In the first and second hour I took extra class for grade 10A on the chapter Light. In that I took the topics refraction, optical density, total internal reflection, critical angle, snells law, lens formula and power.  Then in the third period at 7B shown them a part of the film Taare Zameen Par. Afternoon I took substitution at class 8 E and taught them electrostatic induction.  In the last hour it was an interaction session with class 5E.

Snow ❄️ white 🀍 love

First period I got my substitution at 5G and shown them a part of the famous animation movie of Walt Disney, Snow ❄️ white and the seven Dwarfs. In the second period I went to 10C and interacted with the students. In the third I got substitution at 8J and taught them the origami of snake. During the fourth hour I went to 7G, but I felt unwell and went back to home due to severe stomach ache.

Picnic Day

It was the picnic day for class 10th , 9th and 8th to Wonderella and ernakulam boating. Hence there was no class for all these classes. Anyway some of them class 8th came to school simply. Thus I went to college to get the signature from my mentor. And around the 3rd period I reached the school. In the 4th period I got substitution at 6G and I took them outside to play games.  Afternoon session  I took class at 8F and completed the chapter Reflection in spherical mirrors using my innovative model.

Evening class 😢‍🌫️

In the first period I got a substitution at 6H and I taught them origami work. To make the finger puppet I provided them with colour papers and all the students participated. Then I went to 7B and showed them an animated movie called sweet cocoon and we had a discussion on the anti social activities that devastate the students. In between the class Arun sir assigned me to take the class at tenth.And took the class from 3.30pm to 4.30 pm for 10 A on the topic lens diagrams.

Hope and the Joy

In 5G during the 2nd period shown the short film "the Joy story". It is a great animated short story about opportunities and helping each other. Students are encouraged to discuss topics of kindness and empathy they view in the film and critically reflect on their importance in daily life.Empathy is the awareness and understanding of another person's thoughts, feelings, and circumstances.  The ability to co-experience the feelings and thoughts of other people, is probably one of the most important skills a person may have. Understanding others' feelings and needs helps young people make and keep friends, encourages tolerance and acceptance of others promoting good mental health. Thus, being empathetic assists children and students in building and maintaining strong and healthy relationships developing with their family, class, school, and community. Helping children and students to develop a strong sense of empathy is beneficial because it promotes social

Cooperation is powerful

First period I went to 7B and did a brainstorming session with the students by giving them the word " Uncopyrightable" and they had to frame around 50 words from it.  The class was divided into two groups and the winners were given stickers.  Then I had class at 8E and I showed them the model of electroscope made.  In the 4th period HM requested me to go 5D as there were no teachers. And the Athira teacher of KUCTE gave me her periods as she would be absent for that day. Hence the 6th period was taken by me and at the end of the class I showed them a short film by Lead India - ' The Tree' and we discussed the moral that is "cooperation is powerful"...
