ADVITHIYA college union of Mar Theophilus Training College conducted a film screening and discussion as part of World Refugees Day on 20th June . A movie show was organised as part of it and shown the film 'Immigrant' which picturize the treatment given to the refugees. The programme was lead by Reading and Oratory club.

June 1st , the college reopening day after the summer vacation will always be a happiest moment in life. The new beginning was itself a memorable day for the student teachers of physical science. It was the birthday of our mentor Dr. Neena Thomas and we together made it a celebration. We set a cake , handed over a booklet full of messages wrote from the hearts of student teachers and I made a birthday card representing our class. Neena ma'am was so surprised and we were so happy to celebrate our teacher birthday. I will share the birthday card that I made for my loving and motivating teacher and the beautiful memories....

On behalf of Natural Science Association, Horus and college union ADVITHIYA organized a Environment Day celebration. As part of the programme , a quiz competition was organised. And I and Preethi P.V of Physical Science participated in that and won second 🥈 prize for the competition. 

I'm very happy to share that I got an opportunity to present a paper based on the topic "Harmony with Nature" on behalf of the National Seminar organized by KUCTE, Anchal. We know that environmental pollution is an emerging crisis, so I dealt with the subject "Monitoring of environmental pollutants by bioluminescent bacteria". It was a great experience for me because it was for the first time I'm doing something like this.Thanks to our mentor Dr.Neena Thomas and Dr.Joju John for motivating us to be a part of this great venture. We 5 students of Physical Science ( Nithin Shaji, Sreelekshmi S R, Aiswarya R J, Nimmy Joseph and Reshma) successfully presented our papers. Capacity-building is defined as the process of developing and strengthening the skills, instincts, abilities, processes and resources that organizations and communities need to survive, adapt, and thrive in a fast-changing world. The National Curriculum Framework (2009) has stated the need for comprehensive reforms in teacher education. There is a need to enhance the skills and capacity building in order to develop professionally .The inurgent and comprehensive reforms have been underlined as “ There is need to bring greater convergence between professional preparation and continuing professional development of teachers at all stages of schooling in terms of levels, duration and structure.” It also elaborates on the content, concerns and vision for teacher education.
