It was the 3rd day of the school induction. At the main gate entrance of the school saw small cutie kids carrying bags larger than them walking into the school with their parents. It made me remember my school days. 


As usual we reported on time. We got an opportunity to observe a class in Higher Secondary section. And we visited grade 11, saw Rejani ma'am teaching the chapter Gravitation in Physics. It was a good experience. 


Around 11am there was a Traffic Awareness Programme organised by Junior Red Cross. The guest was Rajesh Kumar,a police officer working in wireless wing. The awareness programme was very informative for the students which conveyed the importance of traffic rules, the speed limit, driving licence and so on.

During afternoon, I and my friend Sreelekshmi was called upon by the high school physics teachers to arrange the science laboratory. We helped them in arranging the apparatus and chemical reagents properly.


I accompanied Safana and went to explore the U.P and L.P session. The classrooms of these sessions are so beautiful to see where we can observe magnificent wall paintings that attracts the children,hence induce a postive mind in them. We also explored Subhayatra Traffic class room.

The special induction session was taken by Dr. G V HARI ,  a renowned teacher, KPCC chairman and  National project director at  Jawahar Bal Manch. He discussed about the value of a teacher and the dignity of the designation as a teacher. The discussion went on with the concept called energizers. The significance of energizing is to bring readiness in students so that they will receive things quickly with a good presence of mind. The session focused on the importance of student teacher interaction. We came across a new technical word called 'allegory' which means stories and 'introspection' ,that is , reflection on one's own conscious experience, to find answers to psychological questions. Educational Rights

We had a discussion on educational rights for women which involves the right to live free from violence and discrimination. The session was conducted by M.Ed student teacher's Miss Kaveri and Miss Vidhya from Department of Education . We went through the impact of society on women rights .  Later the interaction turn to a debate on whether saree is an essential ingredient for the dignity of a teacher? The discussion involved about the right to freedom, right to education, right to equality and right to speech. Then they conveyed the importance of human rights in student education . However the session ended with the mime organised by first year B.Ed students which was based on the theme "protection of human rights". As a part of the M.Ed internship we made a poster on  Life Skills.

L'ESPOIR

The camp was inaugurated by Mr.Y Shibu, assistant commissioner of police, North zone Kozhikode, in  presence of principal Dr.K.Y Benedict sir, union advisor Dr.Joju John sir and Camp coordinator Deepthi Elizabeth ma'am and union members . The events of the first day were organized by team Ikshana. After the inauguration, Mr. Y Shibu  talked about the appalling effects of narcotics and he went into the details regarding various addictions and the ways to tackle addictions among the school students.  The next session was headed by Mr. Jith from Kerala fire and safety department , which emphasized on basic fire and safety instructions. It was truly an eye opening class which vanished the false thoughts of students . Then followed by a game Bombing the city, which ensured the entire participation of the students.
