Knowing The Unknown

The special induction session was taken by Dr. G V HARI ,  a renowned teacher, KPCC chairman and  National project director at  Jawahar Bal Manch. He discussed about the value of a teacher and the dignity of the designation as a teacher. The discussion went on with the concept called energizers. The significance of energizing is to bring readiness in students so that they will receive things quickly with a good presence of mind. The session focused on the importance of student teacher interaction. We came across a new technical word called 'allegory' which means stories and 'introspection' ,that is , reflection on one's own conscious experience, to find answers to psychological questions. Also the meaning of a sufi word 'anal haq' was conveyed in the conversation.

“The sweetness we taste in a piece of sugar is neither a property of the sugar nor a property of ourselves. We are producing the experience of sweetness in the process of interacting with the sugar.”
       ~Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam.

And he said that the teacher should have experience in knowing and understanding the students. He then added ,to make  students concentrate in our class , we should have proper preparation and content. A teacher should be enthusiastic in knowing the unknown. At the end of the session, he concluded that to know ourself and to make us a good person we need to read, reflect, and discuss , also need to travel a lot, watch movies ,attend seminars and workshops. All this intelligent effort will bring a positive outcome.
