Another happier day passed. As usual we reported at 9am, marked the attendence and  carried out our duties associated with the school induction. We collected the administrative details of high school section , higher secondary section and visited various labs and libraries. Senior assistant Minimol ma'am was very cooperative and gave us the necessary details regarding the school. We sorted  the details collected by all of us. 

Then we went for the class room observation, we felt goosebumps when children called us teacher. At that moment we experienced the dignity and love given by the children. And on hearing the tone of 'Good Morning Teacher...', it make us remember our school days. Our seniors were taking the session, they took the class very  beautifully in well explained manner. The teachers had an interactive session with the children and response of the children awoke our minds with joy.  Here I'm sharing a small video clip on a debate  based on the topic ' Plastic is a boon or curse' organised by Sneha teacher in class 8th during her session where we can observe the active participation of students.




During lunch break, volunteers were assigned to the canteen section for serving food. We had a nice day together.

The special induction session was taken by Dr. G V HARI ,  a renowned teacher, KPCC chairman and  National project director at  Jawahar Bal Manch. He discussed about the value of a teacher and the dignity of the designation as a teacher. The discussion went on with the concept called energizers. The significance of energizing is to bring readiness in students so that they will receive things quickly with a good presence of mind. The session focused on the importance of student teacher interaction. We came across a new technical word called 'allegory' which means stories and 'introspection' ,that is , reflection on one's own conscious experience, to find answers to psychological questions. Educational Rights

We had a discussion on educational rights for women which involves the right to live free from violence and discrimination. The session was conducted by M.Ed student teacher's Miss Kaveri and Miss Vidhya from Department of Education . We went through the impact of society on women rights .  Later the interaction turn to a debate on whether saree is an essential ingredient for the dignity of a teacher? The discussion involved about the right to freedom, right to education, right to equality and right to speech. Then they conveyed the importance of human rights in student education . However the session ended with the mime organised by first year B.Ed students which was based on the theme "protection of human rights". As a part of the M.Ed internship we made a poster on  Life Skills.

L'ESPOIR

The camp was inaugurated by Mr.Y Shibu, assistant commissioner of police, North zone Kozhikode, in  presence of principal Dr.K.Y Benedict sir, union advisor Dr.Joju John sir and Camp coordinator Deepthi Elizabeth ma'am and union members . The events of the first day were organized by team Ikshana. After the inauguration, Mr. Y Shibu  talked about the appalling effects of narcotics and he went into the details regarding various addictions and the ways to tackle addictions among the school students.  The next session was headed by Mr. Jith from Kerala fire and safety department , which emphasized on basic fire and safety instructions. It was truly an eye opening class which vanished the false thoughts of students . Then followed by a game Bombing the city, which ensured the entire participation of the students.
