Christmas vacation be like😀

On the way to Kochi, we decided to visit some devotional places in search of serenity.

First we went to Parumala Church. Parumala is a small stretch of land on the shores of the river Pampa. Parumala church is the tomb church of Saint Geevarghese Mar Gregorios or Parumala Thirumeni. He died on 2 November 1902 at the age of 54. The funeral was conducted at Parumala on 3 November 1902 in the presence of thousands of people and hundreds of priests. Many testimonies to the saintly intercession of Mar Gregorios made Parumala Church and the tomb a centre of pilgrimage.

In 1947 Mar Gregorios of blessed memory was declared a saint by the then Catholicos of the church, His Holiness Baselios Geevarghese II.

Secondly we went to St. George Orthodox Valiya Pally  which is a prominent church that belongs to the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. This church is situated beside the Puthuppally - Changanassery road about a kilometre from the Puthuppally junction, on the eastern bank of the Kodoor river. The surrounding areas of church are panoramic and very beautiful. The old church was well preserved church with wall murals dating back to ancient times. These unique wall murals have been painted using vegetable dyes.

At last we went to St. Mary’s Church, Manarcad, one of the most prominent parishes of the Malankara Jacobite Syrian Church, has always upheld faith and the allegiance to the Holy Apostolic Throne of Antioch and All the East. This church is located in Kottayam Dist. Kerala, India. It is situated at around 9 kms from Kottayam. This is also a pilgrim center and dedicated to Virgin Mary. The main feast is on September 8 ( Feast of Virgin Mary's Birth). Those time the church is flooded with pilgrims.

Finally reached the destination, my native place Ernakulam 😌. After visiting all these places,  acquired a peaceful mind .
