Micro- teaching

Micro teaching is a procedure in which a student teacher practices teaching with a reduced number of pupils in a reduced period of time with emphasis on a specific core teaching skill. The six steps generally involved in micro-teaching cycle are Plan, Teach, Feedback, Re-plan, Re-teach, and Re-feedback.

The above image shows my first micro teaching cycle. I took the topic transverse waves in physics. I was assigned with the microteaching skill demonstration. And I used slinky to demonstrate transverse waves and took the class for around 5 minutes. Also I got valuable comments regarding the class. Then I had my second micro teaching cycle where I took the topic distance and displacement in physics, my microteaching skill was skill for promoting pupils participation.
