The special induction session was taken by Dr. G V HARI , a renowned teacher, KPCC chairman and National project director at Jawahar Bal Manch. He discussed about the value of a teacher and the dignity of the designation as a teacher. The discussion went on with the concept called energizers. The significance of energizing is to bring readiness in students so that they will receive things quickly with a good presence of mind. The session focused on the importance of student teacher interaction. We came across a new technical word called 'allegory' which means stories and 'introspection' ,that is , reflection on one's own conscious experience, to find answers to psychological questions. We had a discussion on educational rights for women which involves the right to live free from violence and discrimination. The session was conducted by M.Ed student teacher's Miss Kaveri and Miss Vidhya from Department of Education . We went through the impact of society on women rights . Later the interaction turn to a debate on whether saree is an essential ingredient for the dignity of a teacher? The discussion involved about the right to freedom, right to education, right to equality and right to speech. Then they conveyed the importance of human rights in student education . However the session ended with the mime organised by first year B.Ed students which was based on the theme "protection of human rights". As a part of the M.Ed internship we made a poster on Life Skills.
