Valentine’s Day is a day where people celebrate love, romance, and those who mean the most to them. People think of the best Valentine’s Day ideas for their special someone, the perfect gifts to get them, and how to make those they love feel like a million bucks. 

The truth about Valentine’s Day is a bit mysterious. We know it’s named after St. Valentine, but who was he? Several legends explain who St. Valentine was, with one of the most popular theories being he was a priest who officiated the weddings of soldiers during the third century AD. During this time, Roman emperor Claudius II outlawed marriage for young men in hopes of creating stronger soldiers. Legend has it that Claudius found out about St. Valentine’s actions and put him to death, making St. Valentine a martyr for love.





MTTC too celebrated the valentine's day. For that we purchased the essentials required for the valentine's decor.

 Students of MTTC created a valentine's corner with photo booth corner and love letter box . It was so fun. The beautiful red ♥️ dresses, lanterns ,white yellow and red balloons, flower 🎀 ribbons and the photo frame added more beauty to the valentine's corner. Also students posted their love letters with great interest sharing their love and happiness. And finally we got many love letters which was very engrossing and  funny to read.

The special induction session was taken by Dr. G V HARI ,  a renowned teacher, KPCC chairman and  National project director at  Jawahar Bal Manch. He discussed about the value of a teacher and the dignity of the designation as a teacher. The discussion went on with the concept called energizers. The significance of energizing is to bring readiness in students so that they will receive things quickly with a good presence of mind. The session focused on the importance of student teacher interaction. We came across a new technical word called 'allegory' which means stories and 'introspection' ,that is , reflection on one's own conscious experience, to find answers to psychological questions. Educational Rights

We had a discussion on educational rights for women which involves the right to live free from violence and discrimination. The session was conducted by M.Ed student teacher's Miss Kaveri and Miss Vidhya from Department of Education . We went through the impact of society on women rights .  Later the interaction turn to a debate on whether saree is an essential ingredient for the dignity of a teacher? The discussion involved about the right to freedom, right to education, right to equality and right to speech. Then they conveyed the importance of human rights in student education . However the session ended with the mime organised by first year B.Ed students which was based on the theme "protection of human rights". As a part of the M.Ed internship we made a poster on  Life Skills.

The camp was inaugurated by Mr.Y Shibu, assistant commissioner of police, North zone Kozhikode, in  presence of principal Dr.K.Y Benedict sir, union advisor Dr.Joju John sir and Camp coordinator Deepthi Elizabeth ma'am and union members . The events of the first day were organized by team Ikshana. After the inauguration, Mr. Y Shibu  talked about the appalling effects of narcotics and he went into the details regarding various addictions and the ways to tackle addictions among the school students.  The next session was headed by Mr. Jith from Kerala fire and safety department , which emphasized on basic fire and safety instructions. It was truly an eye opening class which vanished the false thoughts of students . Then followed by a game Bombing the city, which ensured the entire participation of the students.
