A Teacher takes a hand, opens a mind and touches a heart!

Finally that day came where we got an opportunity to showcase ourselves -our assembly ! 

We are proud to say that our teamwork and the support of our mentor Neena ma'am made this assembly a successful one. We came to know about the assembly yesterday only and within half a  day we organised everything.

The assembly commenced with the morning prayer which is believed to provide peace and serenity to our minds and souls. Then college anthem, pledge, thought for the day, news and importance of the week was presented. 

There was a speech on "women in science" , a virtual tour  was organised related to the same and a puzzle was created to identify the personality of "women in science" in India. Tessy Thomas was given for the puzzle.




 Cosmos logo was released which carried the moto " imagine, invent and inspire". On behalf of the cosmos, books were donated to library. As  part of the valentine's day, roses 🌹 were given to all. 



The prizes for Christmas events were distributed. For "Sketch Your Santa"  Malayalam department bagged first prize followed by English department.

 For photography competition first prize went to Sheril of M.Ed and second prize went to Kavya of English.

 In the absence of principal, the message was given by Bindu Ma'am. And the assembly ended with national anthem.

The special induction session was taken by Dr. G V HARI ,  a renowned teacher, KPCC chairman and  National project director at  Jawahar Bal Manch. He discussed about the value of a teacher and the dignity of the designation as a teacher. The discussion went on with the concept called energizers. The significance of energizing is to bring readiness in students so that they will receive things quickly with a good presence of mind. The session focused on the importance of student teacher interaction. We came across a new technical word called 'allegory' which means stories and 'introspection' ,that is , reflection on one's own conscious experience, to find answers to psychological questions. Educational Rights

We had a discussion on educational rights for women which involves the right to live free from violence and discrimination. The session was conducted by M.Ed student teacher's Miss Kaveri and Miss Vidhya from Department of Education . We went through the impact of society on women rights .  Later the interaction turn to a debate on whether saree is an essential ingredient for the dignity of a teacher? The discussion involved about the right to freedom, right to education, right to equality and right to speech. Then they conveyed the importance of human rights in student education . However the session ended with the mime organised by first year B.Ed students which was based on the theme "protection of human rights". As a part of the M.Ed internship we made a poster on  Life Skills.

The camp was inaugurated by Mr.Y Shibu, assistant commissioner of police, North zone Kozhikode, in  presence of principal Dr.K.Y Benedict sir, union advisor Dr.Joju John sir and Camp coordinator Deepthi Elizabeth ma'am and union members . The events of the first day were organized by team Ikshana. After the inauguration, Mr. Y Shibu  talked about the appalling effects of narcotics and he went into the details regarding various addictions and the ways to tackle addictions among the school students.  The next session was headed by Mr. Jith from Kerala fire and safety department , which emphasized on basic fire and safety instructions. It was truly an eye opening class which vanished the false thoughts of students . Then followed by a game Bombing the city, which ensured the entire participation of the students.
