"Rise Of The Robots"
Robotics session was so interesting and informative. Robotics was effectively taken by Accelmove Dynamics. They conveyed about human v/s robot concept. Also discussed about the importance of robotics and as future teachers why we should know this.
Robotics is a branch of engineering that deals with the conception, design, manufacture and operation of robots. This field overlaps with electronics, computer science, artificial intelligence, mechatronics, nanotechnology and bioengineering. Robots are devices that senses, thinks and then act. The session also went through the history of robotics, which highlighted the Czech writer Karl Capek in 1921 who coined the term robot which means forced labour in Czech language. Robots are machines that performs a specific task based on coding and they are especially made for solving problems.
"Isaac Asimov three laws of robotics"
1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
Types of robots~
* Pre-programmed robots
*Humanoid robots
*Teleoperated robots
*Augmenting robots(helps the humans to enhance their capability)
*Autonomous robots
They also gave an introduction on Arduino which is an open source platform used for building electronics objects. And they made us familiar with certain technical terms such as hat and microcontroller.
